High school graduation ceremonies begin tonight to celebrate the Class of 2021

BEAUFORT – More than 1,400 seniors in the Beaufort County School District’s Class of 2021 will receive their diplomas in graduation ceremonies that begin tonight and run through this Friday.

“These graduation ceremonies are significant milestones for our students and their families, and certainly their teachers,” said Superintendent Frank Rodriguez.  “The Class of 2021 has a great future ahead, and we congratulate all of our graduates.”

Seniors will receive their diplomas during graduation ceremonies that kick off tonight, beginning with Beaufort High School.  With one exception, graduation ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m. in each school’s football stadium unless weather moves them to a prescheduled rain date.  The exception is Bluffton High School, which will hold its ceremony at 10 a.m.:

  • Monday, June 14 – Beaufort High

  • Tuesday, June 15 – May River High

  • Wednesday, June 16 – Whale Branch Early College High

  • Thursday, June 17 – Hilton Head High

  • Friday, June 18 – Bluffton High and Battery Creek High

This year’s valedictorians and salutatorians are:

  • Battery Creek High – The class valedictorian is Dallin Jensen Morgan, and the salutatorian is Luke Taylor Sanders (155 graduates).

  • Beaufort High – The class valedictorian is Caleb Ernest Henry, and the salutatorian is Zoe Faith Pejsa (256 graduates).

  • Bluffton High – The class valedictorian is Penelope Roman Gomez, and the salutatorian is Adeline Ann Rios (270 graduates).

  • Hilton Head Island High – The class valedictorian is Julia Kubec, and the salutatorian is Thomas Hughson (291 graduates).

  • May River High School – The class valedictorian is Madison Nunez, and the salutatorian is Lucy Raisch (343 graduates).

  • Whale Branch Early College High School – The class valedictorian is Kevona Young, and the salutatorian is Genisis Pratt (101 graduates).
