Summer Camps

Beaufort County School District is excited to support a variety of Summer Learning Experiences for the children of Beaufort County. Below you will find details for each offering. Camps are hosted by outside partners so please carefully read the descriptions, fee information, and how to submit your registration. 

Students required to attend Summer Reading Camp will be unable to participate in other summer offerings held on the same day and time.


YMCA SUMMER CAMP 2021

All camp groups are arranged by educational activities include literacy/mathematics instructions implemented by certified teachers. Camp components includes: swimming 2-3 days per week, nature activities, gym games, camp songs, group/camper choice activities  like field games, dance, yoga, gaga pit, and more!

Ages:  3 - 12 years old
Dates: June 21 – August 13, 2021 (M-F)
Locations:
Time: Drop off 7:00 am - 8:20 am Pick Up 4:00 pm 5:30 pm
FEE: $100 member/week or $125 non-member/week

NOTES: 
In partnership with BCSD all campers will receive breakfast and lunch. Sample breakfast is blueberry muffin, orange juice, nonfat chocolate milk, or low fat milk. Sample lunch is baked penne, sweet grapes, broccoli, nonfat chocolate milk or low fat milk.

YMCA SUMMER OFF SITE CAMP - COOSA

Coosa Elementary will also host a traditional YMCA camp with the exact same themes and schedule as the Wardle Family Y Traditional Camp.  Extended Day is also offered for those attending the school's summer reading program. Youth in traditional camp will participate in a series of educational activities tied in with summer camp fun. All work no play? Camp activities include: nature activities, gym games, camp songs, group/camper choice activities like field games, dance, yoga, gaga pit, and more!

Grades:  Rising Kindergarten through rising 5th grade 
Dates: June 28 – July 29, 2021 (Mon. - Thurs.  - No Camp on Friday)  
Locations: Coosa Elementary School
Time: Drop off 7:30 am - 8:15 am Pick Up 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm 

Camp Fee:
$50/child per week
Registration Fee: Online $30/child or In-person $35/week

Extended Day:
3:05 pm - 5:30 pm (Attends school reading program, transfer over) 
Extended Day Fee: $20/child per week

Swimming at the Y: Every Wednesday, campers will be transported to the Y’s outdoor pool for fun swimming!                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Field Trips: Campers will participate in field trips every Monday with the exception of the 1st day of camp. All field trips are no more than $12 per child so please plan accordingly. You will be notified of each field trip location the week prior to the trip. There is no field trip during the first week of camp.


SEA ISLAND SCHOOL FOR ARTS and ACADEMICS (SISA2)

This camp is for BCSD identified Gifted and Talented Arts and Academic students provides in-depth, advanced-level creative workshops taught by master teachers and professional artists.
Grades:  Rising 4th through 6th grades (SISA2 Junior) & Rising 7th- 9th grades (SISA2) identified GT Art and Academics students
Dates: July 12-15, 2021 and July 19-22, 2021, 8:30 am to 3:0 pm (students may attend one week)
Location: Beaufort High School
Fee: NO COST
TO REGISTERBegins June 1, 2021 (for GT students only.) Link to registration will be located on SISA flyer.
Note: Transportation provided from selected middle schools, bring a snack/bag lunch.


BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB BROAD RIVER SUMMER CAMP

Day Camp for children that includes indoor and outdoor activities, crafts and games. Students who are identified to attend the District Summer Reading Program should attend that program at their assigned school during the school day. Students must register for Full Day Camp or Summer School Extension. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE
 
Location:Robert Smalls International Academy
Dates: June 28-July 29 
Days: Monday through Thursday
Time: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (Full Day Camp) or 2:30pm - 5:30pm (Summer School Extension)
Cost: FREE to Students!

Day Camp for children that includes indoor and outdoor activities, crafts and games. Students who are identified to attend the District Summer Reading Program should attend that program at their assigned school during the school day. Students must register for Full Day Camp or Summer School Extension. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

Location:Whale Branch Elementary 
Full Day Camp & Summer School Extension Dates: June 28 - July 15, 2021 (M - Th)
Full Day Camp & Summer School Extension Times: 7:45 am - 5:00 pm 

Summer School Extension ONLY Dates: July 19 - July 29, 2021 (M - Th)
Full Day Camp & Summer School Extension Times: 2:45 am - 5:00 pm 


Cost: $25/child per week
