A New World Record

Beaufort High ninth-grader Anna Smith set a new girls’ world record at the 2013 World Sport Stacking Championships in Orlando.  Smith performed the 3-6-3 stack in 2.237 seconds, beating the previous world record by .013 seconds.  Sport stacking participants “up-stack and down-stack” specially designed plastic cups in pre-determined sequences with lightning quickness and skill that requires extraordinary hand-eye coordination and concentration.  The April 6-7 world championships in Orlando drew nearly 250 stackers of all ages, representing 16 countries from as far away as South Korea and New Zealand. To see Anna in action, CLICK HERE.
